18” x 18” cloth napkin or 20” x 20” cloth napkin
American flag or another patriotic accessory

Step 1: Lay your napkin face-down on a clean, flat surface such as a table or kitchen counter.
If using a cloth napkin, ensure it is wrinkle-free by ironing it gently.
For paper napkins, ensure they are square and handle them delicately to prevent tearing.
Step 2: Fold your napkin in half vertically, creating a long rectangle.
Ensure that all edges are aligned, and then use your hand to smooth out any creases.
Step 3: Fold the bottom edge of the napkin up, going slightly past the halfway point.
Gently smooth out the newly formed crease, ensuring a neat and even fold.
Step 4: Take the newly formed bottom crease and fold it up to meet the original bottom edge of the napkin.
Step 5: Flip the napkin over, ensuring the folded part stays at the bottom and remains closest to you.
